Each private studio apartment is comprised of a spacious bed/sitting room with ample closet and storage space. Walk-in showers in each apartment provide seating and wheel chair access. Residents are encouraged to bring their own familiar furnishings, TV and mementos. Cable access is included.

A secure, landscaped garden with walking paths welcomes residents and visitors.

Newly constructed and entirely self contained, Florence & Chafetz Home for Specialized Care opened it doors in November, 2002. Physically connected to Cohen Florence Levine Assisted Living, the Home shares administration, activity staff and food services. However, all are tailored to the needs of the Home’s 36 residents.

Designed by DiMella Shaffer Associates, Inc. of Boston, prize-winning architects, Florence & Chafetz Home for Specialized Care was built largely through the generosity of Leonard Florence and Irwin Chafetz, long-time benefactors of the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home Foundation. Continued support from the community enables the Home to provide superlative care.
